Hide those files on your desktop – DesktoGgle

The most annoying thing I face on a weekly basis is hiding those files on my desktop when I’m about to do one of my ‘popular’ screencasts. I tend to lose files while I shove them into folders. It’s a major pain in my butt. Anyway, I stumbled across this excellent application that allows me to hide the files on my desktop quickly, and then reveal them again when I need them.

For the most part my desktop is clean, but I tend to use the desktop as a work cache, where the files I am currently working on sit on the desktop until I’m finished, at which point I place them where I need them to be. Antiquated I know, but it’s how I work. DesktoGgle makes my Tuesday screencast scramble a little bit easier.
