With regard to the ad; I think it may actually turn out to be brilliant, after a fashion, if they continue to run a campaign of similar clips. I don't think it's necessarily directly about Vista, but more about making Bill Gates human (I think macanuck hit the nail on the head), and someone people can relate to/with. If (it's a big 'if', I know.) they (the ad agency handling it) can manage to do that, along with top-notch personalities like Seinfeld, it could actually make a sizable dent in the general public impression, and benefit much more than Vista in the process. In addition, I don't think it was such a coincidence they chose Seinfeld to kick it all off with: Remember all his Macs in the background on the show, dating all the way back to the DuoDock?

At any rate, it'll be interesting to see how they fare, and whether (or possibly not) they bungle it along the way. ; )
