Technology is changing before our eyes. We’re in exciting times. We are finally seeing technology that will either untether us from our desks, or on the flip side, technology that will never let us leave work at the office at the end of the day. While I prefer to think the previous is where we’re headed, and that the latter is only a current phase, one small little thing remains–we’re going mobile.
I had a moment of clarity while standing in line at a subway, using the iphone youtube app to amuse myself. Our screencasts should be on there, so you can quickly retrieve them in your most dire moments. So, I’m in the process of re-encoding our screencast library in its entirely. You can get them on your iphone with the youtube app by searching for the keyword, macgasm.
A word of caution: We did not intend for these videos to be streamed in a youtube format, so what we have now may be a step backwards; however, in moving forward we will be trying to reach a happy medium between file size and youtube quality.
It’s times like these that I wish I had an elgato turbo264 to test out.
