Change your Default Terminal Color Scheme in Leopard

Wayne Dixon | Sun, Apr 13, 2008

I’ve been playing with Terminal a lot lately while rebuilding my entire web setup on my iMac, and I wanted to find a way to change the default scheme for my Terminal window. This is quite easy to do. Go to Terminal -> Preferences, then click on "Setting." Highlight which theme you want, then click on the Default button on the bottom left. That’s it. It’s simple, quick and will stay as your default.

Interesting, but I have two words for you:

    I TERM

iTerm is a much nicer, more configurable (and free) terminal emulation application available at Sourceforge. It doesn’t come pre-loaded with different schemes, but is very flexible and allows you to customize ’til your heart’s content.
