The update to 10.5.2 added a new menu item, the Time Machine status. I had a question on how to turn this off. It’s quite simple and quick, head to System Preferences, then click on Time Machine then uncheck the box that says “Show Time Machine status in Menu Bar”. That’s it, it’s gone. It helps keep the Menu bar cleaner.
