Sometimes we get video files that need codecs that are not supported by natively in leopard.  Perian is a nice preference pane that lets you view these video types in Quicktime natively. No need for a new application, no need to install random codec packs.  This is all you need.  It’s been upgraded to 1.1 recently, and I can not believe I missed it.
