For those of you that have been waiting, Chax 2.0 was released last week, and I have been loving it. It doesn’t restore all of the functionality from Chax 1.x, but it certainly restores a few key features that I need from my IM client.
- Growl support
- Auto-accepting text invitations
- Displaying status changes in the chat window
- Displaying the buddy icon of the sender in your dock
- Buddy list resizing
All in all, this is a great version. In my opinion, the one-two punch of iChat and Chax makes for the best instant messaging experience available today.
