Adv. Tips

    By: Grant Brunner

Are your universal binaries clogging up your application folder? No worries, if you only want to use an application on an Intel Mac or only on a PowerPC Mac, you can use a great application called TrimTheFat. This application will throw out the extra code that is use to support both architectures in your applications. Beware, it is possible that some applications might not like it if you do this. Make sure you have a functioning back-up before you start ripping out legacy code. However, if you have a lot of universal binaries on a small drive, this application could really help you out.
