So, sometimes I know I want to move a file off my desktop but i’m not too sure where I want it to go. Usually I would move through all the folders I wanted and opened numerous windows then dragged the file from one window to my destination folder. Well, OS X has a pretty neat way of dealing with this.
You can grab a file (of any type) and drag it over a folder, but don’t let go of the mouse/track pad button. OS X is smart enough to open the folder. You can keep doing this through numerous folders. If you decide you don’t want to be in that folder anymore just take the file off the finder window and it will automatically close.
